Sandy Anderson, originally from Lone Pine, CA. has been a singer and songwriter for many years. In concert with Clayton Anderson, her guitar playing husband, Victor Silvas on bass guitar; Teru Sato, Lead Guitar; Mark Flippin on keyboards and Chris McHugh on drums; they make up… Sandy and the High Country.

The group’s repertoire of music includes Country, R&B, Rock, POP, Classics and Sandy’s original material. The group’s music is in regular rotation on KSRW, local radio and their easy style and originality has garnered many accolades and made them the “in-demand” entertainment group for numerous events, movie-wrap parties and festivals in the region.

So, bring your dancing shoes, practice your “Hustle” and “Slide” and of course bring your best girl for the slow ones… a memorable and maybe even “romantic” evening under the Eastern Sierra Stars that will be long remembered.

Bios:

Sandy Anderson, Singer/Songwriter is originally from Lone Pine, CA. has been a singer and songwriter for many years. Charming, creative and talented, Sandy’s personality coalesces the group’s talents into a unique sound and uplifting performance.

Clayton Anderson, Guitar/Vocals, brings unique spin to many of the group’s selections. A technical ear, Clayton produced and was the on-line recording engineer for …High Country’s, two CDs; both produced locally in hometown Owens Valley.

Mark Flippin, Keyboards, joined the band in July 2014 after relocating to the Eastern Sierra from Orange County. Mark has added his musical talents to many bands in the Southern California coastal area. Originally from Ventura County, Mark is now living in Big Pine where he is active in several music projects in the area.

Chris McHugh, Drums, hails from Ventura California and has a home in the Bishop area.  Chris also performs and records with the Country Rock band, Splntrz, based in Los Angeles. Chris thoroughly enjoys the Eastern Sierras and spends as much time as possible in the area.

Victor Silvas, Bass Guitar/Guitar/Vocals, has been a long time resident of the Owens Valley entertaining audiences throughout the Eastern Sierra as a single performer, as a partner with friends, and staple part of …High Country for many years. Victor's musical talents are easily recognized and heard in live performances and recordings.

Teruyuki Sato, Lead Guitar, was born in Tokyo Japan. Teru started playing guitar when he was 12 years old. Graduated from Music Institute of Technology in 1982 and toured the states. Teru joined the band in April of 2015.
